Claire Choo is a 2007 graduate of the University of San Francisco, School of Law, where she was a member of the legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi—Stephens Inn, the Korean American Law Student Association and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. She received her undergraduate degree in sociology and legal studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002. Ms. Choo was a fall 2006 extern for the Honorable Joyce L. Kennard of the California Supreme Court. She was also a summer clerk for the San Francisco District Attorney’s office in 2005. Ms. Choo served as a certified summer law clerk for the Family Violence Law Center in Oakland, representing survivors of domestic violence in court in 2006.

 

Prior to joining Girard Gibbs LLP, Ms. Choo litigated bad faith insurance actions. She is a member of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area, the Korean Bar Association of Northern California, and the San Francisco Bar Association. Ms. Choo is admitted to the California Bar. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.
