Currently, Mr. Danko represents women across the country who suffered serious side effects and health problems after taking the birth control pills Yaz, Yasmin and Ocella. He has been appointed to serve on the Science Committee for Plaintiffs in the ongoing Yaz litigation.

 

Over the past several years, Mr. Danko has represented clients who were injured by a variety of drugs and devices. In addition to representing Yaz victims, Mr. Danko currently represents men and women who have developed bladder cancer after taking the drug Actos, a medication widely prescribed to treat type-2 diabetes. He previously served as co-lead counsel in In Re Deep Vein Thrombosis Litigation, representing more than one hundred air travelers who suffered strokes, pulmonary emboli, or heart attacks as a result of airline-induced blood clots.

 

Mr. Danko has been recognized for his legal expertise on numerous occasions, having been named a Lawdragon 500 finalist and a Northern California Super Lawyer each year since the award's inception in 2004. In 2009 he was nominated for California Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Consumer Attorneys of California for a $15 million jury verdict on behalf of an injured client.
