HONDA ACCORD BRAKING SYSTEM CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
Class Action Lawsuit Concerning Honda Accord Braking Systems
Hundreds of Honda Accord owners complain that the rear brake pads on their 2008-2009 Accords prematurely fail. In response to these consumer complaints, Girard Gibbs has filed a class action lawsuit against Honda concerning the braking systems of 2008-2009 Honda Accord vehicles. The class action lawsuit seeks certification of a nationwide class of 2008-2009 Accord owners and lessees. The lawsuit alleges:
The braking system on 2008 and 2009 Honda Accord vehicles (“Class Vehicles”) suffers from a defect that causes excessive force to be applied to the vehicles’ rear wheels. One consequence of this defect is that the vehicles’ rear brake pads wear out and require replacement about every 15,000 to 20,000 miles, far more frequently than in a properly functioning braking system. Although the defect is covered by Honda’s warranty, Honda fails to repair the braking system defect under warranty.
What Should Class Members Do?
If you think you may be a member of the proposed class, it is important that you save the original copies of all of your documents related to your braking system, such as emails or receipts, because you may need them in the future.
