Update: Girard Gibbs Appointed Lead Counsel in Auction Rate Class Action Lawsuits

Girard Gibbs and its associated co-counsel have been appointed lead counsel in the auction rate securities class action lawsuits against UBS, Wachovia, Bank of America, E*Trade, and Raymond James. Nationwide Settlement Reached in GM/Dex-Cool Class Action Lawsuit

On March 20, 2008 the California Superior Court granted prelimnary approval to the class action settlement reached with General Motors in the GM/Dex-Cool class action lawsuit. The settlement affects people who purchased or leased a "covered vehicle" anywhere in the United States other than Missouri. A separate settlement has been reached for those who purchased or leased their vehicles in Missouri, which will offer the same benefits but will be separately approved by a Missouri court.  [...]

Final Approval Granted for $100 Million Settlement

On July 13, 2007, U.S. District Judge Deborah A. Batts in hte Southern District of New York granted final approval to a $100 million settlement of the securities class action and related claims against American Express Financial Advisors. The settlement covers clients of ("AEFA) who purchased financial advisory services or financial advise (such as a financial plan) and/or mutual funds in the American Express family of mutual funds between March 10, 1999 and February 9, 2004.  [...]

Girard Gibbs Appointed Liaison Counsel in TFT-LCD Antitrust Case

On July 10, 2007, Judge Illston appointed Girard Gibbs LLP as interim liaison counsel for the consolidated actions on behalf of direct purchaser plaintiffs.
